As a result of growth and acquisition our client’s development resource was geographically dispersed with local management.  Such an arrangement had resulted in a ‘silo’ mentality, failed projects, untested code in production, unpredictable process and little visibility.  

Our task was to assist these groups in collaborating to identify and solve larger problems and improve their internal processes.

We ran a workshop where heads of department were able to meet, analyse case studies, learn, assess their own process maturity and discuss improvements to their processes and organisational structure.  Several resulting recommendations have been adopted by the client to improve management visibility and project quality.

Our client had determined that their core business application should be re-written.  After six months and expending large amounts of business time the project stalled.  Our analysis showed this to be the result of starting the project ‘in middle.’ Our brief was to re-start the project, to engage the whole team in an efficient and effective manner.

The project was re-launched.  The first phase of the project - overview requirements was completed and relayed to key executives resulting in business leaders gaining control of this IT project.
